Headquartered in Lyon, Witekio has five office locations across four countries, including USA, UK, France, and Germany.

We are eager to expand and grow Witekio GMBH and we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for managing sales operations in Germany and looking for diverse range of opportunities to support our growth strategy. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary and dynamic position, requiring close collaboration with the Witekio Marketing & Sales teams, as well as local Partners.

The role will involve attracting new businesses, building a network of potential partners and transforming new opportunities that are coherent with our skills to increase Witekio’s brand presence in the market and to position Witekio as the go -to – partner for all software product development.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and the use of technology services. You are very resilient, self-reliant and focused on building your network. You prefer to work in an environment that emphasizes ownership, collaboration, learning, curiosity and you have a drive to always improve oneself and the organization. You are not afraid of rejection and you have that foot in the door mentality!

You are at the forefront with the potential partner, consulting, presenting our services and dealing with complex sales so your charm and charisma is needed here!

You also have great communication and presentation skills and very good listening skills to understand clients’ expectations. Building trust is very important to us! Previous experience working in a software company would be very much welcomed as well as experience working in a consultancy.

Please note, this is a fully remote role and the role will involve some travelling across Germany and to the headquarters office in Lyon. German and English speaking is a must.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

Business Development, deal closing & upselling:

  • Identifying new opportunities and building network via multiple channels
  • Qualifying and understanding potential clients, their pain points, vision and growth and how Witekio could help and enhance their plans 
  • Brainstorming with pre –sales team and designing proposals specifically tailored to the customer
  • Negotiating, identifying any gaps, creating framework and closing the deal!
  • Using sales tools and CRM to leverage any historic prospects and clients
  • Expanding the business with existing customers by promoting new services and predicting any future needs through good understanding of client needs
  • Being creative to expand the network through referrals, campaigns, webinars and events 
  • Managing sales funnel and the sales life cycle
  • Identifying any upsells with focus on our offers and accelerator

 

Collaboration with the Marketing team & other departments

  • Representing the company at various events, exhibitions and tech days
  • Organising webinars and other Witekio events with customers and partners
  • Actively updating all demand generation content on various digital platforms
  • Reporting directly to the Sales Director in Europe
  • Working with the local engineering Director and engineering teams on solution proposals and pipeline management

  

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5 + years of experience in sales and business development
  • Previous experience working in the software company or consultancy
  • Great networking and presentation skills 
  • Great communication and listening skills
  • Very well organized, charismatic and creative individual that is not afraid to work on its own or as a part of the team
  • Fluent in German and English is essential
